Valentines Is Coming!

Hello!!
Valentines Day is almost here! Only Saturday and we can celebrate! My younger brother is very crafty, more so than me at the moment, and he has been creating tons of paper valentines crafts. Like heart streamers, and banners, and bags full of hearts, and a heart pot with a paper flower inside. He is definitely in the spirit of the season. Are you? I'm close, but not exactly going crazy preparing. I do plan on cooking a few treats though. Like heart cookies...cakes...cupcakes...of course I will probably only be allowed to maybe make a batch of sugar cookies with red and pink sprinkles...and icing...

Halloween Decor

It's Halloween! And we decorated of course. And like my friend I will post my decorations, because that is a great idea. :) 

This is the inside window:

Mom is loving owls right now. Let's start counting. That's the first. 

Then is our front decor desk:

The pumpkin glows at night. 

Our side table in the music room:

My eldest brother owns those rats. He actually has about four more. 

Next is the piano:

I KNOW mom had fun over here. :) at the ends our two buckets with wildflowers inside. 

I don't know how mom fit the candle inside this pretty silver pumpkin. But it blends beautifully. On both sides are just brown round stick balls. 

This is the second owl. There is also an owl lamp on the other side. That's three owls so far. 

Last we come to the shelf. Lovely! 

Awesome decorating! 

Here is the forth owl. So cute! I love it! It's like a 3D silhouette with silver eyes! 

Mom made this out of scratch! It's amazing! And it can stay up till thanksgiving because it's a crow! 

This is my favorite shelf in the whole tower. So perfect for the season!

Crocheted Headbands

Headbands!! I have been making the most lovely headbands, and I'll be sharing it with you now! 

This is a special gift for someone, but was real fun to make! I sewed on the flower in some funky way I made up because I don't know how to really do it.

ArtisTree Stock Update: Star flower

ArtisTree Scarves

So far I have made one Dolly scarf, and am working on a real scarf. The dolly scarf is a ruffled turquoise, called:

THE RIPPLED DOLLY SCARF- TURQUOISE

The product. Now I am creating the next accessory, 

THE RUFFLED SCARF-HOT PINK

Not done yet you see, but in progress. 

I intend to make three more dolly scarves, and three more real scarves. Then I will start on frames. 

I'll share more as I progress!

The first scarf: Dolly Scarf

I started with a turquoise dolly scarf. 

I first made 72 chains. Then I double chained in two, double chained twice in one hole, and so on and so forth.

When I reached the end I chained three and turned. Then I double stitched in three holes and then two stitches in one hole, so on and so forth.

I kept doing this while adding stitches at the next rows. I went up to row four. 

After the forth row I knotted the ends and was done! Simple directions, just takes awhile. And this is only for the Dolly Scarf. 

The finishing product! Just weave in the ends and your done!
